Kaitlin's been really fascinated by death for the past few weeks. We kinda started the dialog a few months ago when my in-law's dog was put down, and since then she just has tons of questions about dying. Not morbid questions, but questions nonetheless. We were looking at her little Book of Mormon reader in sacrament meeting today, and she stopped on the page of Christ on the cross (my sunday school class always wanted to stop on that page too.)

Kaitlin: "Mommy, why did those mean men kill Jesus? And they should have given him a shirt, because I bet he got cold on that cross."

It just made my heart melt. She's very fond of telling me that Jesus died so that "everyone can be together forever" and that "Jesus loves all the little children, especially me." The testimonies of these little kids just amaze me.
