More time on the trike
Our townhouse backs up to a really cool city park, and we ride our bikes there several times a day if Kaitlin has her say. Kaitlin's always been so much more adventurous than I ever was (or am). If I turn my head for two seconds, she's gone climbing on something high. She and Michael have so much fun being adventurous together.
Taking care of her babies
Kaitlin is so funny with her dolls. She has four "babies", all of which have names. We have a baby Sierra, baby Pluggy, baby Molly, and baby Brown Hair. Yes, Kaitlin named them all by herself:) She carries them around in her "night night" chair and takes them pretty much everywhere she goes. She's going to make a good big sister someday.
Visitors from Utah
My brother Kyle and my grandma LeBaron came out from Utah to visit for the weekend. Kyle has always been one of Kaitlin's favorites, but we were amazed by how well she took to grandma. As soon as they rang the doorbell, Kaitlin goes running, opens it, and gives grandma a huge hug. She even remembered her name, and we haven't seen them for almost a year. It was really fun to see Kaitlin so attached to her, especially since I have always been so attached to her as well.
Summer Fun
Kaitlin wakes up at 6:30 every morning, and she runs into our bedroom yelling either bike or swimming pool - whichever happens to be the "preferred" activity of the day. We got her a little tricycle for her second birthday, and she's since put about 100 miles on it (okay, probably an exhaggeration, but close...). We've also burned out the soles of several pairs of shoes.
We've also found it amusing that she prefers to wear her swimsuit over any other outfit. She eats in it, plays in it, and probably would sleep if we let her.
