Cute cute cute! I love watching Kaitlin trying to teach Allison new things. Allison has this hero worship thing when it comes to her big sister, and she's all too willing to do whatever Kaitlin teaches her to do.

My birthday
I had a really nice birthday. We woke up early and went miniature golfing as a family at the mall (and indulged in cinnamon rolls while we were waiting for the place to open.) We went shopping at the mall while we were there, and Mike bought me a set of fleece pjs (just like the ones the little kids wear - even purchased from the Children's Place). Mike's wonderful brother Jeffrey came over to babysit the girls, and we went out for dinner. Afterwards, Kaitlin helped me decorate cupcakes with our new cool frosting gun, and then we all got in our jammies for our "jam jam party". It was all very fun!

Bass Pro Shop
We love to visit Bass Pro Shop at Christmas time. Free Santa pictures are a plus, and then of course there's all of the other Christmas activities and the amazing animal displays. We've gone the past three years and it's never been anything but a wonderful family outing.

Getting ready for Christmas
Kaitlin and I had so much fun playing with one of those huge coloring books with huge stickers. We spent literally an hour putting together our sticker gingerbread house. I kept telling her to follow the example picture and she kept saying that we could do it any way we wanted to. I think she was right, and I'm thankful that she's already more willing to think outside of the box than I have ever been. She was also very helpful (for reals, not the usually mommy use of that word) in setting up the Christmas tree and decorating the house this year. It's so magical to see the Christmas season through the eyes of a 4 year old.
Open Gym at the Thornton Rec Center
We love it. I've tried to enroll Kaitlin in gymnastics three times and each time she ends up just loving the open gym more since all of the equipment is fair game.
