Four Months Old

I remember thinking with Kaitlin that four months to ten months was probably my favorite age, and it's been so true with Allison too. She's always been fun, but her personality is really coming out and she's such a little charmer. Her smile is just magic! Couple new things she's doing:
  • Grabbing anything and everything in sight. She particularly loves hair, and I must admit it gives me a little satisfaction to see her pulling Kaitlin's hair (anyone who's been around Kaitlin can understand why:)
  • She's been so interested in our dinner, so the doc gave the ok to start rice cereal. She mostly gets it down, but she always gives us the look "um, this is NOT what you guys are eating!"
  • She's trying to roll, but gets caught on her arms and just gets mad about it. She has mastered the art of flailing and kicking and therefore can get across a bed or couch pretty quickly.
  • She jabbers non-stop, and her favorite sounds seem to be "ah" and "goo." She really looks like she means what she's saying.
  • Anything that she can get into her mouth goes, especially hers or really anyone elses hands.

Her stats: 99th percentile for height, 95th for weight, and 76th for head size. We definitely build them big at our house! I also had to laugh...the doctor said it was obvious we had lots of family close by because Allison has NO flat spots on her head. I had to ask her what she meant --apparently babies who are never put down never get that baby carrier flat spot on the back of their head. I couldn't tell if she was complimenting us or scolding us, but it made me smile.

Big and cute! We should get together and do an art day sometime soon.
